******** Even much LATER INFO ******************************

Two northbound lanes were opened before 9 p.m. Friday and traffic was beginning to move.

10 PM Friday - Linda & I have made it to Frazier Park

The run is still on. 

Please call if you are coming  - or will be late.

The detour (14N to 138W - not E) took us about 2 hours extra.

Check LOCAL TRAFFIC  to see if  I-5 is OPEN SAturday AM.

Meet at Flying J - Frazier Park 8:30 AM 6/9/2012

Limited vehicle run - 12 max - Reserve early; Un-reseerve if unable to attend.

Stay for dinner at Mexican Restaurant

Requirements

  • 33+ Minimum-Sized Tire
  • 3+ Minimum Suspension Lift
  • 4LO Minimum Transfer Case
  • Rear Axle Locker
  • Roll Cage
  • Tow Hooks (D-Shackle)

Always required for any Run:

  • Full-Sized Spare Tire
  • Tow Straps
  • Seat Belts
  • First Aid
  • Fire Extinguisher
  • Battery Tiedown
  • Working Brakes

Difficulty: 3+


1 Graded road; Any 4x4 vehicle or higher clearance 2x4 vehicle with no other modifications
2 Road rarely maintained; 4x4 with no low bumpers. Anti-sway bar disconnects recommended. Minimum 30" tires and some off-road experience is helpful
3 Difficult terrain and road rarely maintained; 33" tires, Suspension lift, Off-road driving experience, body armor and Rear locker recommended. Stock vehicles will likely take damage
4 Very difficult terrain, road never maintained and possible erosion; 33" tires, Anti-sway bar disconnects, Rear hard locker, Off-road driving experience, and Rock sliders required. 35" tires, front locker, Full cage, and 4:1 transfer-case strongly recommended. Chance of mechanical failure and body damage
5 Extremely difficult terrain with large obstacles and roll over potential; Full cage required, 37" tires strongly recommended. Good chance of mechanical failure and strong chance of body damage

I-5 North - Frazier Park Exit  - then Left (Past Hungry Valley- Frazier Park - Lebec)-

Flying J will be on left

Linda & I will be going up Friday evening

Accomodations at either  Holiday Inn )across the street from Flying J   or Motel 6 adjacent to flying J
