Trip Description: Rating: Easy.
This event is intended to improve skills on an off highway trip. We'll cover what things to bring, the importance of a driver meeting, spotting, and recovery including winching.
There will be a Best Equipped Vehicle contest with prizes being given out for the best prepared vehicle/team.
The day will begin with an orientation at the visitor's center then we'll top off gas and move on to the Truckhaven 4x4 Training facility.
Optional trail rides and/or obstacle to attempt will be available after training. See attached map of the area.
Restrooms, tables and parking is provided.
Time & Place to Meet: Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011.
Meet at 9am at the Ocotillo Wells SVRA Visitor's Center on 5172 Hwy 78, Borrego Springs, CA. (). I am coming from Orange county so those attending from Visitor Center Map San Diego can organize a caravan.

What to bring: Picnic lunch, extra water, munchies, sunscreen, hat, CB radio with external antenna. Any recovery and emergency gear.
