Description
This is an easy roll around Anza Borrego Stae Park on Saturday and Sunday morning. Camping is at Yaqui Wellsprimitive camp at the intersection of the 78 and S-3. There are vault toilets but other than that it is dry camping. Bring firewood. I'll be bringing the necessary metal fire pit to comply with the fire regulations at Yaqui Well.
I and John Alkema are leaving together very early Friday morning in hopes of getting the big campsite at Yaqui Well for the group. John and I will then pre-run the trip I intend to take Saturday.
Later that morning, Marty Buell is leading Doug King and Chuck Jones out to camp to drop two vehicles. They will then go run Pinyon Mountain, the Squeeze, and Heart attack hill. Call Marty, (714) 742-4752, if you are interested in doing that. Be advised, that will NOT be an a run for a beginner. Lockers, big tires, Lift, and more will be required by Marty, including a liability waiver on file.. Body damage and roll over are very real possibilities. Make sure your life and medical insurance policies are in good order before you call Marty. Saturday will be the easy run for those who do not have extensive experience.
Otherwise. Meet Dan Thompson at 2 PM at Carl's Jr Friday to caravan to camp, or show up in camp by 8:30 Saturday morning (see rendevous below).
