SAVE THE DATE!
We have a summer fun run to Big Bear coming in August. We have the Tanglewood group camp provided to us free of charge though Ranger Greg of the Forest Service. The site will accomodate up to 40 people. Due to the parking issues, we will not be able to accomodate any RVs. Those who don't wish to tent camp could consider getting a motel in town, take your RV to antother campground or just come up for the activities on Saturday. The campground has tables, bbq and vault toilets. NO WATER, the closest showers are at Serrano Campground, 8 miles away.
Those arriving early on Friday could run some local trails after setting up camp. Depending on the size of the group, we will make available 2 types of trails for Saturday's runs. One would be a more scenic and less difficult. Charlie Yoon has offered to lead that run for our group. I will be looking for another trail boss that would be interested leading the more difficult runs like John Bull, Dishpan Springs, Holcomb etc...
The club will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers for Saturdays dinner. We could consider a pot luck for salads, beans, dessert etc. We will have more information on that.
We will be doing a poker run on Saturday for some fun prizes. We would like to set up games horseshoes, corn hole etc in camp for some additional fun.
We would like this to be a fun event and encourage you to bring spouses, significant others and kids.
When signing up, make sure you let us know how many will be attending so we can be prepared with food.

Take I-10 east to the 210 North to 330 going to Running Springs. At Runnung Spring continue East on 18 to the Big Bear dam and turn left onto the 38. Go 9.3 miles along the North side of the lake to Van Dusen Canyon Rd (3N09) and turn left. Go 3.9 miles North to Holcomb Valley Rd (3N16) and turn right. Go 1.9 miles East to 3N79 and turn right. Camp is 0.6 miles at the end of the road.

SCENIC BIG BEAR RUN AUGUST 11th 2018

MEETING TIME: 9:00 am Saturday August 11th 2018
RENDEVOUS: Meet at 9:00 a.m. at Highway 38 and Santa Ana South Fork fishing area across from South Fork Campground.
