Death Valley, Racetrack and Eureka Dunes: Friday, May 20, 2022 7am to Sunday, May 22, 2022 4pm

As promised at the meeting, I have added a Death Valley trip for next weekend.

nobody has signed up yet. I'll wait one more day, then will move it to a later date. I'm looking at Feb 18-20.

Bruce was on the fence for this trip. With his open jeep, it can be uncomfortable if it gets too hot. Especially the segment on 395 from Big Pine back to his tow vehcle. The predicted high temps for the weekend are 84, 87, and 91 degress on Friday Saturday and Sunday. About the same at Keeler, Darwin, and other places.

At some of the higher elevations, it will be cool in the day. At campsites, it will be cool at night. Below are elevation vs distance.

So, anyone else whi is considering this trip, and was afraid of the desert heat. Please don't be afraid. The weather will be perfect.
